Jackie Christie gets hitched, again, guess where:

Reality TV star and friend to the blog Jackie Christie is known for her role on VH1's "Basketball Wives: LA." On the show she let us into her marriage with Doug Christie and into one of their many wedding ceremonies.

Backtrack: Jackie & Doug renew their vowels annually & this year was no different. The couple did something a little different this time, they did it at a Gay Club in West Hollywood! The couple did it to show their support for the LGBT community and it was their way to show they are pro-same sex marriage.

Jackie Christie had this to say:

The LGBT community means a lot to us, we’ve been long time supporters and we want to bring as much noise as we can. We think it’s totally unfair that everyone can’t be married to who they want, when they want (and) however many times they want.
It’s not fair that in the State of California that same sex couples are not recognized as legal couples.

People who were in attendance say that the cameras were indeed rolling so we may just see this on the second season of BBWLA!

Worth The Ratings? Cassidy alluding to Love & Hip-Hop Philly?

In a recent interview, rapper Cassidy (I know right.) expressed interest in becoming a part of "Love & Hip-Hop: Philly." The show would be the 3rd installment to VH1's hit show. Though this is in no way confirmed by anyone, could Cassidy have brought this up because its been mentioned?

Is a Philly season in order? After the NYC season, this new ATL season, and cast changes being made to the next season of NYC... I don't think we need Philly. NYC gave us what we needed, hopefully this new cast does too, & ATL has provided all the ratchet needed on tv for the time being. Say this did happen... who'd we see on it? Cassidy? Eve? Charli Baltimore?

Ne-Yo comments on Frank Oceans coming out.

Recently hiphop artist Frank Ocean made a revelation to the world on his tumblr in a letter that unveiled his homo/bisexulaity. This set the web ablaze with discussions regarding the industries point of view on the matter in 2012, how does it affect an artist, & what would happen to Franks music after this. Well, as proven by the release of his album "Channel Orange" a week earlier than its scheduled release date, the revelation has done nothing to his music and it continues to be great.

Many have chimed in and lent their support to Frank and encouraged his move. Ne-Yo is the latest to make a comment regarding the matter and had this to say:

“To each his own, if that’s how he rock, that’s how he rock, you know what I mean. It don’t change the fact that his music is incredible. It don’t change the fact that he’s an incredible artist. He chose to put his personal life out there, and that’s him. I don’t fault people for who they are, if that’s really who you are, you know what I mean. If that’s really who you are then by all means do what you do. I’m not gonna judge you behind that. That’s not my place."

Interesting coming from a man who's had his fair share of gay rumors. Either way, Ne-Yo has a point when he says its not his place to judge him. On a sidebar, how many would love a collabo between these two?!

Azealia Banks reveals "Fantasea" artwork.

The "212" beef starting raptress Azealia Banks has recently revealed the cover art for her upcoming mixtape. She has decided to be animated and continue to spread her mermaid culture for the cover.

The mixtape will have released tracks like "Aquababe", "Neptune", & "Jumanji." Though I don't have high hopes for this project or her as an artist, I'm hoping to hear some different music from her. Everything from her has been sounding the same.

Worth The Ratings? Hip-Hop gets Animated for 'The Cleveland Show'

The hip-hop Illuminati is taking control of your television this fall. Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, ?uestlove, and will.i.am star in the long-awaited episode of “The Cleveland Show” entitled “Menace II Secret Society.”

The poster for the season premiere was revealed at Comic-Con (via EW.com), showing animated versions of the music superstars alongside Cleveland Brown and his family (check out Rallo donning a Nicki Minaj wig). The episode was first reported about last summer. “We have an episode where Kanye and will.i.am, playing himself, and Nicki Minaj, playing herself, and Bruno Mars, playing himself, and ?uestlove—they’re all part of the rap Illuminati, the secret group that controls pop culture,” said Mike Henry, who voices Cleveland on the show.

Executive producer Rich Appel explained the plot. “Cleveland inadvertently breaks into it and then it’s how he will either bring them down or they’ll bring him down,” he said. “We have a couple of original songs with Kanye and will and Bruno, I mean, all of them, it was great.”

The season premiere of “The Cleveland Show” airs October 7 on Fox.

Frank Ocean comes out the Closet!

In a move more courageous than anything else going on in music right now, Frank Ocean the singer/rapper from Los Angeles who made it big with the debut of his song "Novacaine" has come out of the closet in a moving and sincere letter he posted on his tumblr.

Reasons to what provoked this letter are unknown, to me, but it was moving and touching all together. Here is the letter:

Whoever you are, wherever you are… I’m starting to think we are a lot alike. Human beings spinning on blackness. All wanting to be seen, touched, heard, paid attention to. My loved ones are everything to me here. In the last year or 3, I’ve screamed at my creator. Screamed at clouds in the sky. For some explanation. Mercy maybe. For peace of mind to rain like manna somehow. 4 Summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that Summer and the Summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. I’d hear his conversation and his silence.. Until it was time to sleep. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping. No negotiating with the feeling. No choice. It was my first love. It changed my life. Back then, my mind would wander to the women I had been with. The ones I cared for and thought I was in love with. I reminisced about the sentimental songs I enjoyed when I was a teenager. The ones I played when I experienced a girl too quickly. Imagine being thrown from a plane. I wasn’t in a plane though. I was in a Nissan Maxima. The same car I packed up with bags and drove to Los Angeles in. I sat there and told my friend how I felt. I wept as the words left my mouth. I grieved for them, know I could never take them back for myself. He patted my back. He said kind things. He did his best, but he wouldn’t admit the same. He had to go back inside soon. I was late and his girlfriend was waiting for him upstairs. He wouldn’t tell me the truth about his feelings for me for another 3 years. I felt like I’d only imagined reciprocity for years. Now imagine being thrown from a cliff. No. I wasn’t on a cliff. I was still in my car telling myself it was gonna be fine and to take deep breaths. I took the breaths and carried on. I kept up a peculiar friendship with him because I couldn’t imagine keeping up my life without him. I struggled to master myself and my emotions. I wasn’t always successful.
The dance went on.. I kept the rhythm for several Summers after. It’s Winter now. I’m typing this on a plane back to Los Angeles from New Orleans. I flew home for another marred Christmas. I have a windowseat. It’s December 27, 2011. By now, I’ve written two albums. This being the second. I wrote to keep myself busy and sane. I wanted to create worlds that were rosier than mine. I tried to channel overwhelming emotions. I’m surprised at how far all of it has taken me. Before writing this, I’d told some people my story. I’m sure these people kept me alive. Kept me safe… sincerely. These are the folks I wanna thank from the floor of my heart. Everyone of you knows who you are.. Great humans. Probably angels. I don’t know what happens now, and that’s alright. I don’t have any secrets I need kept anymore. There’s probably some small shit still, but you know what I mean. I was never alone, as much as I felt like it..As much as I still do sometimes. I never was. I don’t think I ever could be. Thanks. To my first love, I’m grateful for you. Grateful that even though it wasn’t what I had hoped for and even though it was never enough, it was. Some things never are…And we were. I won’t forget you. I won’t forget the Summer..I’ll remember who I was when I met you. I’ll remember who you were and how we both changed and stayed the same. I’ve never had more respect for life and living than I have right now. Maybe it takes a near death experience to feel alive. Thanks. To my mother, you raised me strong. I know I’m only brave because you were first…So thank you. All of you. For everything good. I feel like a free man. If I listen closely, I can hear the sky falling too.
-Frank

I call this courageous. An act of valor in an industry that frowns upon homosexuality in every which way possible. If his lyrics didn't provide crystal clear emotions I think this letter sure did. He's 10x more admired by myself for making this decision.

Rumor Has It: New Love & HipHop cast

With Chrissy, Jim Jones, & Emily B leaving "Love & Hip-Hop" you had to wonder, who in the world will fill those shoes? Well the rumors are spewing all over the web over the alleged new cast mates.

Who better to replace the main hiphop couple in the show then Tahiry Rose & Joe Budden! This would be GOOD, the two were together for 5 years & though they aren't together anymore it would make for interesting tv. & no reality tv show is complete without a little drama right? The shows producers are trying to get Somaya Reece to sign on for the season too! For those who dont know, Somaya was Joe's girl after Tahiry!

I think this makes perfect sense! Joe is about to be back in the charts with Slaughterhouse & it'd be nice to see what fuel Tahiry & Somaya can bring! Lets hope this is true!

Rumor Has It: Meek Mill banned from ALL NYC clubs!

Well aint this about a b**ch! Remember Meek Mills involvement in the Drake vs. Chris Brown brawl last month at club W.I.P? It seems as though this is haunting the MMG rapper. The "Houseparty" rapper has been denied entrance to various clubs around NYC including hotspots like 'Tenjune' infamous for their VIP attendees.

Meek is crying racisim but this just seems like clubs protecting their businesses. Due to the Chris Brown & Drake brawl, Club W.I.P got its liquor license revoked, was shut down by NYPD and will be heading to court with various lawsuits filed by partygoers that night that claim to have been affected in some way by the fight.

Though as we understand Meeks involvement was minimal but he was a part of it after all. Do you think the treatment he's getting is unfair?

Azealia Banks Trend Setter?

I'm sorry guys but I am still not sold on this chick Azealia Banks. The hip-hop newbie has done nothing but start beefs and get praise in the fashion world for her "Mermaid" fashion. But her recent appearance at the Serpentine Ball should put the fashion worlds love for her to rest.

The rapptress stepped out in a Moschino dress and orange plastic sandals. Lets get this straight, just cause it's Moschino does not mean it's not tacky. I don't see her getting beyond the success her single "212" has provided. What do you guys think, was this an IT moment for her?

Worth The Ratings? "Think Like a Man" sequel.

The hit movie "Think Like a Man" has grossed over $100million in the box office here in the states. Fans of the movies are now in for a surprise, there is a sequel on the way!

Screen Gems is moving ahead with a sequel to Think Like a Man, its hit movie based on the Steve Harvey book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, closing deals with Keith Merryman and David A. Newman to write the script.
Merryman and Newman write the first movie, which made Hollywood notice star Kevin Hart and grossed over $91 million domestically when it was released in April 20.
The movie followed four couples where the women use Harvey’s advice to reign in their men.
Will Packer will return to produce via his Rainforest Films banner. Harvey is executive producing on the project alongside Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy.
It is unclear which castmembers will return at this stage, although Hart is a likely candidate, since he just joined Screen Gem’s About Last Night remake.

I think this is a great move for black cinema, the cast was stupendous and their work paid off! Though I'd love to see everyone return, I think a few cast additions or changes wouldn't hurt. Dont you think?
