Lady GaGa hands down takes Album of the Year, The Fame was the top charting album as a whole down to its singles. Face it, GaGa broke records every other month, with her hit singles Papparazzi & PokerFace. I also give the L&S to Lady GaGa for Best Dance Recording; PokerFace. The song just made you want to get up and start "bluffin' with my muffin" - hit song from the get-go!
Record of the year although many may disagree, L&S goes to Kings of Leon. They came out and OWNED! But im sure this was a close voting with Taylor's & GaGa's hit songs in the same category.
Im sorry Beyonce & Kanye, but Taylor gets takes my L&S for song of the year! Yes Single Ladies was catchy - but was it a better song than "You Belong to Me?" NO! Aside from the pity the country singer has gotten this past year at award shows, i must admit she did well. I also give her the L&S for Best Pop collabo w/ Vocals alongside "Bubbly" songtress Colbie Calliat! But was it any surprise shed be nom for "Best Pop Vocal album?" Colbie is an amazing artist and im torn in that category because The Fray's self tittled album was such a substanial piece.
Moving along into the Performance categories, "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals" goes to The Fray for Never Say Never. Again their a band with so much substance to their music! The Country performance hands down L&S award to Rascall Flatts. & Best Female Pop performance goes to Adele! Rookie but came heavy hitting!
In the male pop category, my L&S goes to John Legend. How can we deny this man that?! Hes super talented, & amazingly attractive! Did you see him on the "Hope 4 Haiti" telethon; How Yuh Doih?!
The most tight category as many would agree, was the Best R&B vocal! So many great names and beautiful- talented women! Although im scared of "Lions, Tigers & Bears" - my vote goes to Melanie Fiona for "It Kills Me." She's def slept on and is such a powerhouse! Every song on her debut album are instant hits. R&B's Amy Winehouse - minus the beehive & drug abuse. For the males, Musiq Soulchild grabs my vote! He also gets my vote for his nom in Best R&B perofrmance by a duo/group for his collabo with Mary J Blige on "IfuLeave", though the song was short lived in radio plays def an amazing song and Grammy worthy!
Although Single Lady; Bey did NOT get my L&S in her many categories she does get mine in the Traditional R&B performance.
Best New artist i say PLEASE GIVE IT TO KERI! She has earned it, slumped album sales and all! Shes a hard worker.
& The hiphop most awaited award for Rap solo is FILLED with rookies! But im torn! Drake or Cudi?! Both amazing artist this year i just cant chooose!
Well those are Liife&Such's picks - comment and let us know who you want to see go home winning!
